What is FACTOR4 – Advanced PRP?
FACTOR4 is an advanced cytokine and growth factor therapy rich in anti-inflammatory Protein IL-1Ra that naturally stimulates your own collagen. FACTOR4 is a scientifically based anti-aging treatment that uses your own serum (all plasma, cells, and platelets are removed).

How do we create your own FACTOR 4 formulation?
To create your FACTOR4 formulation our practitioners extract a small sample of your blood (10-20 mls). In the 24 hours before your blood extraction, we suggest you consume 2 to 4 litres of water and avoid or reduce consumption of alcohol. When you are fully hydrated, more serum can be produced. Using a patented scientific technique, your blood is incubated, spun and filtered. This produces a concentrated, highly refined serum that is 4 times richer in growth factors than the original blood; hence the name ‘FACTOR4.’
During the 6–9 hours of incubation, your blood is exposed to small glass beads that are etched with tiny grooves. This makes the blood cells release potent growth and repair factors, as though they are repairing trauma. Once culturing is complete, the blood is centrifuged, filtered and your valuable serum is retained. The amount of FACTOR4 is enough to perform 4 treatments and recommend you have your treatments 4 – 6 weeks apart. Your FACTOR4 serum can be frozen for up to 7 months.
It’s important to note that unlike some PRP’s, FACTOR4 is 100% autologous and has no additives or chemicals added. The FACTOR4 treatment serum is rich in your own anti-inflammatory protein IL-1Ra and contains a super concentration of your body’s Cytokines and rich Growth Factors, which negates any inflammatory response in the skin.
How is the Factor4 Administrated?

What is Skin Needling?
The treatment operates on the principle that when the skin needling device creates microscopic injuries to the skin, it causes the skin to rejuvenate and heal, which promotes collagen production.
How often do I have treatments?
We suggest coming in for your Factor4 Needling treatment every 4 weeks, the Rationale Enzyme Reactivation + LED Therapy treatment is best to have 1-2 weeks following each treatment.
When will I see the results?
Most patients see an improvement in their skin texture and clarity after a couple of weeks from the first treatment. The final result will be noticeable three to six months post treatment. This is because your skin will continue to regenerate and produce new collegen and elastin.

Your Treatment Timeline:
First appointment: Consultation and Observ Images with one of our Registered Nurses.
Bloods to be taken at first morning appointment on either a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to allow time for the bloods to incubate. Once the bloods have been taken and processed into their Factor4 form the treatment can commence the following day.

Week 2: Your first Rationale Enzyme Reactivation Treatment + LED to be booked with one of our Skin Therapist – Allow 40 minutes for this. Please arrive with clean skin.
Week 4: Your second Factor4 Needling Treatment with one of our Registered Nurses – Allow 45 minutes for this.
Please arrive with clean skin. Intensity will be increased from week 1.
Week 5: Your second Rationale Enzyme Reactivation Treatment + LED to be booked with one of our Skin Therapist – Allow 40 minutes for this. Please arrive with clean skin.
Week 8: Your third Factor4 Needling Treatment with one of our Registered Nurses – Allow 45 minutes for this.

Follow up review and Obeserv photos will be 4 weeks post final treatment.
Within this time you are able to continue with any standard anti-wrinkle injections and other cosmetic treatments such as laser. These need to be timed correctly being 10 days before or after each any Factor4 treatment.
